University of Utah Plant Operations Office records 1949-1982 1970-1977

The Plant Operations Office was created in 1973 by the merger of Architecture and Engineering, Physical Plant General Services, Physical Plant Operations and Construction, and the University Architect. Herschel E. (Ellie) Dunlap served as Director of Physical Plant Operations and Construction and then of Plant Operations, while V. Randall (Randy) Turpin became Director of Plant Operations in 1976. This collection contains correspondence, memoranda, budgets, and reports dealing with the administration of the Plant Operations Office and its predecessor constituents, especially Physical Plant Operations and Construction. In addition, the collection contains records of renovations, repairs, and maintenance of campus buildings.
